David Shrigley is a popular English artist best known for his distinctive drawing style artwork with comedic comments about everyday life. His work explores themes of storytelling and captures a child-like experience with his use of handwritten texts and colourful images. Shrigley's work has expanded through many creative platforms such as paintings, sculpture, literary publications, and animation. As a result of Shrigley's success and achievements, he was nominated for a Turner Prize in 2013 and awarded an OBE in 2020 for visual arts.
